Class 22, Tattva Bodha

Acharya Tadany.

In today’s class we reached the deepest and most mind-bending layer of Vedānta: the Kāraṇa śarīram or causal body

The invisible, unmanifest “seed” that contains the entire potential of both your physical and subtle bodies before the universe even began and after it ends.

Using the beautiful mango-seed analogy, Acharya Tadany showed that just as the whole tree (trunk, leaves, fruits, etc.) exists in encoded form inside the tiny seed, you, in your truest form, already existed in potential before the Big Bang and will continue to exist after the final dissolution (Pralaya).

The deep sleep state gives us a daily preview of this state, i.e., the gross and subtle bodies are temporarily “switch off,” revealing a glimpse of the undifferentiated, peaceful causal level.

The liberating wisdom is this: everything you call “my life” — body, personality, joys, traumas — is only the temporary blooming of that seed. The seed itself is eternal, untouched, and already complete.

When this knowledge is assimilated, suffering loses its grip, because you finally understand: “I was never the flower that wilts, I am the seed that never changes.“
