Class 1, Tattva Bodha

By Acharya Tadany

In this first class of Tattva Bodha, Acharya Tadany showed that every living being shares four basic drives, i.e., food, sleep, fear/security, and reproduction, but only humans have the unique gift (or curse) of self-consciousness and self-judgment.

This extra capacity gives us the ability to set goals and ask “Is this all there is?”, which is the seed of the four puruṣārthas: artha (security), kāma (pleasure), dharma (right action), and mokṣa (liberation).

Without understanding these foundations and the precise Vedic terminology, we will study the Gītā and the Upanishads as beautiful literature instead of as a practical manual for freedom.

Tattva Bodha is therefore the compulsory “user manual” for the human operating system, skip it and you remain an “animal with Wi-Fi”; study it properly and the entire spiritual journey becomes clear, logical, and achievable. Welcome to the course that explains who you really are and why you are here. Let’s begin. 🕉️
