Morning Meditation.

The greatest obstacle to meditation may not be a restless mind, but a mind constantly complaining about life.
Meditation does not begin only when we sit down and close our eyes.
Consider this…if throughout the day the mind is constantly saying:
“I don’t want this reality.”
“Why did this happen to me?”
“This person should behave differently towards me.”
“I wish things were not like this.”
Then, the mind accumulates agitation and restlessness long before meditation begins.
This is why Karma Yoga becomes such an important foundation for meditation.
Because the Karma Yogi does not become passive or stop acting. Instead, action is performed with an attitude of acceptance and offering to Bhagavān. Essentially, the circumstances may still be difficult and challenging, but the mind does not add unnecessary resistance to them.
In other words, the action itself may be unavoidable, however, the additional mental suffering created by fighting reality is not.
So, when we reduce complaint, resistance, attachment to outcomes, and constant judgment, the mind gradually becomes more available for meditation.
In a nutshell, a mind that spends the whole day fighting life cannot easily become quiet simply because it sits on a meditation cushion.
